About Sébastien Bertrand

 

A Genevan born and bred, Sébastien Bertrand is a self-taught art enthusiast and a passionate. After working in Paris for the famous art dealer Jan Krugier with whom he learned the tricks of the trade, he chose to explore working with living artists.

In 2008 he opened his first gallery in the Quartier des Eaux-Vives in Geneva, with associate Romain Grüner, and then proceeded on his own from 2012. Since then, he has developed a strong relationship with the artists he represents, such as Chloe Wise, Todd Bienvenu, Walter Robinson, Joe Andoe, Richard Kern, and more recently, Aks Misyuta, Natalia González Martín and Lydia Pettit. He played a crucial part in the development of their career, up to this day.

For many years he worked alongside Johanna Viprey, and his team is now composed of co-director Pol Le Vaillant and Office Manager Joana Marques.
