Mirella Jaworska's practice explores a distinctive dialogue between the European pictorial tradition and contemporary artistic research. After studying at the Art High School in Olsztyn and pursuing Art History in Warsaw, she continued her education at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Her artistic development has been deeply influenced by her close study of the Old Masters: artists such as Piero della Francesca, Giotto, Giovanni Bellini and Paolo Uccello have played an important role in shaping her visual language.
Jaworska works across portraiture, still life and landscape. Her paintings are characterized by a restrained, often dark palette. Light, materiality and the physical act of painting occupy a central place in her practice. Her work is also shaped by a dialogue between two places: Italy, where she has pursued her artistic education, and the Warmian region of her childhood, whose landscapes have had a lasting influence on her sensibility.
In 2024, she took part in a group exhibition featuring students from the Brera Academy at Museo Butti | Contemporanea in Viggiù. In 2025, her work was included in I Tesori di Ca’ Granda in Milan. In 2026, she undertook an exchange year at Joshibi University of Art and Design in Tokyo, where she continued to explore Japanese painting.
