Sébastien Bertrand is pleased to participate in Liste with a solo booth presentation by Isaac Soh Fujita Howell (1993, USA /JP).
Soh Fujita Howell's paintings navigate the space between the body and the systems that monitor, measure, and mediate it. Rooted in figuration and techno-futurism, he populates his canvases with recurring figures — marathon runners, nudes, animals — moving through spaces that oscillate between the architectural and the abstract. His work is attentive to the textures of contemporary life: technology as both extension and intrusion, the self observed and quantified, intimacy held at a slight distance.
The works presented at Liste touch on themes of health, transience, and the quiet rhythms of a body moving through time.
