Lives and works in New York, USA.
Todd Bienvenu’s thick oil and acrylic paintings are expressive, resplendent and uninhibited, driven by strong color and spontaneous movement. He applies paint directly as forms and subjects emerge through addition and subtraction. Burlesque scenes – parties, beaches, sex, alcohol – carry an underlying melancholy, touching on time, solitude, and the body’s vulnerability.
